Ductless Fume Hoods Price vs. Cost of Ownership

Ductless Fume Hoods:
Price vs. Cost of Ownership
When considering a contained vented enclosure (CVE) for your lab, we understand there are many factors to consider. One of the most important factors is cost of ownership. Unfortunately, the price tag of equipment does not tell the entire story when it comes to the significant investment that is being made. Flow Sciences is trusted by companies across the world and is the exclusive provider of containment enclosures for many of the top 25 big pharma companies. The intuitive design, engineering controls and quality of construction materials in Flow Sciences enclosures make these CVEs the most cost-effective option. Here are some reasons why Flow Science units have a lower cost of ownership.
Years of Proven Results
While some companies are scrambling to design and manufacture a CVE that meets the industry standards and provides adequate containment, Flow Sciences enclosures have been in the field across the world for over 25 years.
Safety
The Flow Sciences CVE provides personnel protection for toxic or potent applications. The engineering controls prevent loss of containment, providing a safe lab environment.
Factory Testing
To ensure safety and reproducibility, FSI has a testing lab and lab managers that validate each enclosure meets ANSI Z 95, USP 795, USP 800, ASHRAE 110 and ISPE standards and regulations. FSI has also been third party tested in the lab and in the field. Test reports are available upon request.
Air Foils / Laminar Air
Other companies may try, but Flow Sciences was the first to add air foils to all four sides of the face opening to reduce sheer and promote laminar air flow across the work surface. Taking the turbulent air outside of the enclosure and directing it into smooth air across the work surface greatly improved balance stability. This means less time spent waiting for balance stabilization.
4” HEPA Filters
With 4” pleated HEPA filters standard in all Flow Sciences CVEs, the need to replace your primary filter every 4-5 years. The size and life of these filters means that less money has to be spent on replacement filters, re-certification and down time of your process activities.
Task Specific Enclosures
Flow Sciences’ safety experts have been providing solutions to the most challenging applications in the industry for over 25 years. These enclosures are task specific and engineered to meet the needs of your laboratory.
Bag-In / Bag-Our (BIBO) Dual 4” Pleated HEPA Filtration
The Flow Sciences Bag-In / Bag-Out (BIBO) series features 2 pleated 4” HEPA filters. The bottom filter (primary) is designed to be replaced by a certified technician safely without contaminating the lab space using the BIBO system. The top (redundant) filter protects the room from contamination during the filter change procedure and is a secondary protection filter during processes. This results in less down time for your lab.
